Viacom censorship,

Viacom has "banned" 2 episodes of South Park, episode 1405 and 1406 from their website. They also did not release them to paying customers on I-Tunes who bought a "season pass" paying for every episode in the season. This in my opinion is fraud.

Read up on it, you'll see why. They also removed an episode from season 5 which originally aired in July of 2001 from both their websites and I-Tunes.

They had an issue with 201? Fine. But they drew the line by going and cutting Super Best Friends off this website, and its also off ITunes. They also drew the line by not making the episodes available to "season pass" holders on ITunes. That's just wrong on both Viacom and Apple's part.

They're just asking to get "pirated".

I would post everything they "banned" on youtube

TORRENT. Grab bittorrent or utorrent and DOWNLOAD the episodes. Post links to them on your blogs, your facebook pages, etc.

E-Mail, Contact your local news organization such as a TV/Radio station newsroom or newspaper. They get enough E-Mails about it, they'll do a story and expose this rubbish to people other then the average South Park fan.

Viacom's revenues went up the first quarter, show the fact that they're "letting the terrorists win" to people on Wall Street and they'll give Viacom something to worry about.

They have a problem with threats? That didn't stop Al-Jazeera from airing all of the Bin Laden videos. One of the government organizations who are at war in the middle east could have easily stormed them and kicked them off the air for spreading terrorist propaganda.

Seriously, take this post very seriously. They got a "threat" about 1 episode, so they took 3 hostage and "banned them" from places where they have been legally available. What's next? They going to flag your DVR, take the DVD of Season 5 out of all stores and warehouses? Storm into your house and seize all copies of your season 5 DVD?

Download the offending episodes with bitorrent or utorrent. Look it up. Torrents can be easilly found at www.mrtwig.com Once you get your downloaded copy of these episodes, spread them around for everyone to see.

Season 5: Super Best Friends
Season 14: 200
Season 14: 201

You may also want to grab 2 episodes from Season 10, although these 2 contain much of the same crap they "banned" they are still readily available. Maybe Viacom just didn't "get to them yet" Its a 2 parter called "Cartoon Wars"

On The Beach

I'm on the beach, AKA no longer weekends on WTKM.

I'd like to thank my friend and PD Jake for giving me the chance to be on the radio. The Crusin' morning host and Traffic Manager Mark Stevens (Jon Demaster) for giving me a second chance when Jake left for Timeless Cool.

Also big thanks go out to Chris From Milwaukee my biggest fan, the owners of WTKM-AM, and everybody who listened to me on Sundays whether or not they enjoyed listening to me in between the best music ever recorded or not.

Thank you all so much!

They say you've never been in radio until you've been canned, whether the reason. My dream since I was born was always to be on the radio. Now that I have been canned, I have officially worked in the radio industry and for that I am so thankful.

Toilet Clog Nightmare

So the toilet clogged this morning during the 5AM hour. The toilet clogging is not an uncommon problem here. Our plumbing and water pressure is awful.

But this incident was exceptionally awful for me. I flush the toilet and find it has been clogged. I look for a toilet plunger, its gone! SHIT! (in more ways then one)

So I try to do what my mom does to flush the toilet when the pressure is bad, pour a pail of water in the toilet. Usually that does the job, this time the answer was no. Shit.

So I take a look around the bathroom and my first thought is the cleaning brush. Whatever not like its been used for awhile. So I try unclugging the toilet with the brush. No luck, and now my hands are starting to get covered in toilet water.

I freak out. I have OCD and am a germophobe.

So I look for something else, I grab a broom stick and start sticking it down the hole. No luck.

I look under the sink, find the small sink drain plunger. At first I try to unclog the toilet with my BARE HANDS and getting more toilet water on my hands as it happens. I kept throwing everything I was using in the bathroom garbage.

Finally I go grab a pair of black leather gloves I refuse to use because they're old and worn. I put them on and start unclogging the toilet with the sink plunger with the glove on. Success.

I grab the Lysol and start spraying the crap out of the room hoping to kill as many germs as possible. Then I go to wash my hands with everything, soap, our cold-only water, disinfectant wipes, sprayed some lysol on my hands, then some purell hand sanitizer.

Part 1, over. Now the bathroom garbage. I grab a trash bag and turn the bathroom garbage with all the "tools" in it. Then as I start to remove it, everything from the wet "tools" to dirty maxi-pads start flying out all over the bathroom floor. So I have to pick it all up piece by piece and tie the garbage bag back together. I re do the hand wash rutine with the lysol. Then I sprayed away everything from the toilet to the sinks to the garbage to my hands to the floor to the garbage bags themself with the lysol. Then I sprayed my shoes with the lysol.

Then I had to find a change of clothes. I find a pair of pants. Put them on. Then I find out dry DOG SHIT was stuck on this pair of pants. I haven't worn them in awhile.

Here we go again. I go and grab another pair of pants and wash up again.

All this to take a morning piss? Damn!

Great Tracks of this decade (2000 and 2001)

Obviously in my personal opinion, this decade of music was far from as good as the decades that proceeded it. But it had its ups, especially in the early half of the decade. here's some of those songs.

2000 and 2001
Three Doors Down - Kryptonite (Their breakout) '00
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPU8OAjjS4k

Three Doors Down - Be Like That '01 (Great slow rock track. It was a hit in the late summer and fall of 2001. This was a major period of change for both the country and the music world, and honestly this song is just plain good)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHdblBk2lhA&translated=1

3LW - No More (Baby I'm A Do Right) '01 (One of the few artists I've ever seen live. They have great harmony in this song)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-9gTnSS7cU

Aaliyah - We Need A Resolution '01 (She passed away not long after in August of 2001. We lost a good artist, but her songs live on. Heavily immitated, never replaced)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQPvgHEMCFs

Adema - The Way You Like It '01 (This nu metal I guess you could call it stands out as catchy and hard at the same time.)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYTwIZslZXo

Aerosmith - Jaded '01 (proving that Aerosmith had some staying power. Also one of their best songs in my opinion)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=705LEH3j2g0&translated=1

American Hi-Fi - Flavor Of The Weak '01 (Was their only big hit on CHR. Had a funny 80s themed opening. The intro on the radio version is amazing)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUfMa3C1z14

Barenaked Ladies - Pinch Me '00 (Classic BNL)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGPfrQ5NHfs

Basement Jaxx - Where's Your Head At? '01 (The video definately overshadowed the song. Modern dance music at its best)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4hFwJm41h4

Blink 182 - Stay Together For The Kids '01 (Different from the typical Blink 182. In my opinion a very powerful song from the fall-winter 2001. Definately a change from the other singles released from the album, humorously titled "Take Off Your Pants And Jacket")
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Cs21Jkopqg

Bon Jovi - Thank You For Loving Me '00 (One of those "Forgotton favorites")
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESOVrc4K3CQ

Britney Spears - Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know '01 last single from Oops I Did It Again in early 2001. Great ballad, well forgotton about, the video was deemed "extreme" but later on in the year she would overtop even this)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGoM7atmJJA

Bubba Sparxxx - Ugly '01 (He was most popular in 2006, but this was far superior musically and when it comes to album sales, this was his highest selling)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8bYitCe0zM

Cake - Short Skirt, Long Jacket '01 (Another song where the video overshadowed the song.)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7aDstrDMf0

The Calling - Wherever You Will Go '01-'02 (This song came out first in the summer of 2001 but peaked in 2002. One of the most played songs of the decade, but still an amazing song and definately a 1 hit wonder wonder.)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jw_4CCe-AwA

City High - What Would You Do and Caramel '01-'02 (First we had "What Would You Do" which consisted of a powerful message and amazing harmony. Caramel was just a flat out great song with a great beat and a great chorus and hook.)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Abc_TyiAeyg
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4vl-HPensw

Coldplay - Trouble '01 (Winter 2001 was when this song came out. It was from their first album, following the minor hit "Yellow". I Still consider this to be some of their best work)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHg-PhseKOQ&feature=fvst

Creed - Higher '00 (Their best. Period)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ea_iZ3NfwSU

Creed - Bullets '01 (This song was off their big selling album Weathered. The thing about this compared to other Creed songs, a much darker subject and a much harder song. Among their best)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtCHFLMRX78

Daft Punk - One More Time '01
Daft Punk - Digital Love '01
Both of these songs are just flat out amazing.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lH-0s0pRleg&translated=1
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjli3hj0ZkM

Darude - Sandstorm '01 (This song, like Daft Punk helped bring modern dance music to the mainstream. Amazing track)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSYxT9GM0fQ

Dave Navarro - Rexall '01 (Yes the guy from Jane's Addiction. He did a solo project in the summer of 2001 and this was the one song that got airplay, and its amazing. One hit solo wonder maybe?)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpfDARU75FI

Deftones - Change (In The House Of Flies) '00 (Different.)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEKIDQmKbfk

Eric Sermon/Marvin Gaye - Music '01 (This R&B/Rap track samples Marvin Gaye. This is just one of those great songs)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fle-zebSXNc

Eve/Gwen Stefani - Let Me Blow Ya Mind '01 (First time we've seen Gwen outside of her typical No Doubt sound along with a great music video and beat)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wDWGF4-bYM

Eve 6 - Here's To The Night (Great track)

Evan & Jaron - Crazy For This Girl '01
Evan & Jaron - The Distance '01
Amazing songs period.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXWjnthSRkA
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zP4tOoSCQMg

Gorillaz (ALL from the 2001 self titled album. This "supergroup" as one would say puts out some of the most amazing alternative, pop and alternative hip-hop and dance. The entire album has something for everybody. These are among my favorites)

Clint Eastwood
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Ozb
39Bgh9w

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qgRE_9cwKI

Incubus - Nice To Know You '01
Incubus - Warning '01

India.Arie - Video '01 (This song is great start to finish. It was first heard in the spring of 2001, but didn't get onto regular CHR radio until 2002)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIZFnkwpL_0

Isley Brothers & R. Kelly - Contagious '01 (Just listen and watch. Amazing)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sL4FHZUvv3Y

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJgivvdLoAM

Jockless Los Angeles

What's with the jockless automation on Los Angeles' 2 CHR stations KIIS and Amp Radio? Yes I know its 5AM on a Saturday but that doesn't mean nobody in market #2 is listening.

Why doesn't John Ivey throw on his premium choice programming overnight if he's not going to have anybody on the air? At least there's someone talking, even WKSC Chicago revoked jockless automation for this programming.

As for Amp Radio, no suprise there. Most of CBS Radio's new stations Fresh, Amp, etc run jockless for extended periods of time.

I guess voice tracking is even a dying breed.
